The Brunel Shopify Shipping app is free to install. There is no subscription, no monthly platform fee, no per-order app charge, and no minimum volume commitment. What we bill for is the physical service — picking up, transporting, and delivering your shipments — not the software.
1. Where the charges come from
Once your store is connected, orders sync automatically and shipping labels are generated on demand. Delivery charges are billed directly by Brunel Momentum, not through the Shopify App Store subscription or the Shopify Billing API.
This arrangement mirrors how a merchant would pay Canada Post, UPS, or FedEx directly for shipping. Brunel Momentum operates a physical last-mile logistics service — the charges cover real-world delivery, not app features.
2. Rate card

3. How tiers work
Your tier is based on your average daily order volume and moves up automatically as your volume grows. It never drops without you requesting a change — so a slower week never costs you a lower rate.
4. Payment & billing cycle
- Payment method: Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD/EFT), set up during onboarding through Helcim, our certified payments processor. Your bank details never touch our servers.
- Billing cadence: After each pickup is completed, every shipment in that pickup is charged together as one debit.
- Setup required: A confirmed payment method must be on file before the first shipping label can be created.
- NSF (returned-payment) fee: $25 per event. After three consecutive NSF events the account is paused pending a new payment method.
- Invoices: Available anytime in the merchant portal at Settings → Invoices.
Why we ask for banking details upfront: Brunel drivers pick up shipments directly from your location. We require a confirmed payment method before dispatching a pickup, so every scheduled collection is backed by a real commitment.
5. Coverage area
Brunel Momentum currently operates in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Pickup and delivery addresses outside our coverage zones can’t be served today. You can check whether we cover your pickup + delivery addresses at any time.
6. Getting started
Signing up takes a few minutes. You’ll create your merchant account, connect your Shopify store, add your pickup address, and authorize PAD payment. After that, orders and labels flow automatically.
